At The Curious Owl, creativity is at the heart of everything we do. Founded by Emma Winter and based at The Studio @ 12a in Hull City Centre, our workshops and parties are designed to spark imagination, boost confidence, and bring people together.
We believe crafting isn’t just about making things—it’s about connection, relaxation, and joy. Whether it’s a child proudly showing off their handmade creation, friends laughing together at a paint and sip night, or a hen party making keepsakes for the big day, our sessions are all about shared experiences.
With small, welcoming groups and step-by-step guidance, everyone feels supported—total beginners included. We provide all the materials, a friendly atmosphere, and plenty of encouragement so you can relax, get creative, and enjoy the process.
Meet Emma
Hiya! I’m Emma – the creative behind The Curious Owl. I’ve been running workshops and craft events in Hull and East Yorkshire for years, always with one mission: to bring joy through creativity.
I love showing people that you don’t need to be “arty” to enjoy making something by hand. Whether I’m guiding kids through a birthday craft project, helping hens design keepsakes, or running a relaxing paint and sip, my goal is always the same: to create a fun, welcoming space where everyone feels inspired and supported.
When I’m not hosting workshops, you’ll usually find me experimenting with new craft ideas, planning events, or enjoying family time with my two kids.
